In March of 2021, I was diagnosed with a rare form of Muscular Dystrophy called Limb Girdle. I decided to use my love for cooking and baking as a way to raise awareness and funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA.org) by doing food collaborations with restaurants in my hometown of Chicago. I created mysake pizza, "The Tripping Billy" and helped build a platform to share my unique story and hopefully inspire others along the way.
I've raised over $47k since November of 2021 and I'm the MDA's IL Ambassador.
