According to a study conducted by Prof. Larry Tucker from Brigham Young University in Provo, UT, published in the journal *Preventive Medicine*, running for 30 to 40 minutes five days a week can reduce cellular aging by 9 years. The study, which analyzed the data of 5,823 adults from the 1999-2002 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, emphasizes the importance of high levels of physical activity in slowing down biological aging by preserving telomere length, which is a marker of cellular aging.

It can be hard to get started working out when your body doesnât feel good
And it completely makes sense why you might be worried that exercise might make you feel worse than you already do...
Especially if you feel like you arenât capable of much right now
Or if what you see other people doing for their workouts seems too intense or unrealistic for you
But let me tell you, Working out/exercising regularly is one of the BEST ways to make your body feel better
To feel less achy
To feel more mobile
To feel more capable
To feel more resilient
But...
It must be scaled to the appropriate place for you and meet you where youâre at RIGHT NOW
Donât try to do too much too quickly
Thatâs where most people go wrong
Start slow
Build up over time
Listen to your body
And youâll feel better than you ever have before
Of course, if you need help figuring out what exercise plan is best for you
Consult with a good trainer, coach, or physio

HARVARD UNIVERSITY DECLARES POSTURE SIMILAR TO SUJOOD AS BEST MEDICINE FOR BACK PAIN.
Good posture can help prevent back pain, neck pain, and shoulder pain. It can also help prevent sports injuries and reduce wear and tear on joints. Poor posture can cause back pain and can also affect your breathing, mood, and the function of your abdominal organs.
Studies suggest that the posture helps improve spinal alignment, enhances flexibility, and relieves tension in the back muscles.
By promoting proper posture and stretching, Sujood can contribute to long-term relief from discomfort and improve overall back health.
This simple, spiritual practice could be a powerful, natural alternative to back pain treatments.

I canât believe this is still a recommendationâŚ
The recommendation of âbed restâ still largely comes from non-musculoskeletal medical clinics
This is usually recommended when the provider doesnât know how to treat low back pain and is just simply uninformed on the evidence behind low back pain
We know that rest is conclusively NOT GOOD for low back pain for almost any stage
Why? Because it makes you afraid of the pain, afraid of moving your spine, leads to deconditioning especially in those later in life, ultimately leading to more pain
Now am I saying the day after you hurt your back you should be running and squatting? Of course not!
But I am saying rest is not a good strategy for low back pain, because back pain is a movement based problem and needs a movement based solution
Movement must be a part of your recovery plan, and if it isnât, you are in for a long frustrating ride that can be entirely avoided

đĽ Injections actually increase risk for surgery
â Injections have become an industry standard for back pain it seems
â Which is a shame, because we know injections often donât result in long-term pain relief, and when abused can lead to negative health outcomes and deterioration of tissue
â It seems the second anyone gets back pain and goes to a general physician, they almost always are pushed to drugs or injections as the first line of treatment
â Steering you towards quick-fix approaches like injections can hold you back from true relief for longer
â It can also instill a mentality that you need medical interventions in order to ârepairâ something
â This does not align with the best evidence for back pain management though!
đ The key here is that the #1 treatment for back pain has and always will be education and exercise aka lifestyle changes!
These lifestyle changes could be habits, beliefs, exercise interventions, and movement modifications
Back pain is largely a movement based problem, and you need a movement / lifestyle based solution
Once you get the proper rehab plan that addresses these factors, you will no longer rely on injections or drugs and will learn how to fix yourself!

Injections are handed out like candy⌠why?
Because itâs so easy!
Just lay down, this nice needle will do all the work for you. Your pain will be gone just like that!
When in reality this isnât how it works at all
Low back pain is a multifactorial problem that may be caused by many variables
Using injections as a silver bullet treatment is pretending like low back pain is caused by a singular problem
If you need to be stronger, an injection canât do that
If you need to be more mobile, an injection canât do that
If you need educated on back pain, daily habits and movements, an injection canât do that
If you need help on the mental side of things understanding pain, an injection canât do that
If you need better core function, an injection canât do that
The list goes on and on and onâŚ.
Injections contain 2 things, a steroid and numbing agent
Itâs only design is to temporarily numb your pain and reduce inflammation, which can have a strategic utility in certain casesâŚbut if you donât actually address the problem and all the other components listed above, you are in for a long frustrating ride with pain
