Happy New Year everyone!
Instead of doing a video like I did the previous few years, I'll just recap everything in this post.
This year was pretty eventful for me, but more in a career sense rather than YouTube. I managed to get a job as a video editor and get laid off (video game company moment), but on the lighter side I did get a lot of trailer work done, and even launched my own Website with a Show reel.
So for next year I will be trying to do freelance work and see how it goes, if you know any game developers who would need a trailer, send them my Website: simonas-macas.com/
As for my YouTube videos, I wont lie this year has been pretty slow, and I still haven't managed to get to 10k Subs but I'm literally right there D:<. In terms of the creative side of videos, I tried to do every video more "cinematic" or just feel a bit bigger than before, by incorporating music videos in them (ULTRAPUNK 4) and using actual irl recorded footage (REAVER - In My Sleep & The Best Machinima Ever Made Essay). I also started posting some videos on TikTok, but I fucking hate that app so, don't be surprised if I delete it at some point.
Next year is pretty scary since I'm literally entering it without a job, freelancing might not work out, but mind you, I never reached out for any work I've done for trailers, I got contacted by the Game Developers themselves, so maybe It's more possible than I think.
