Some of y’all may know of me from answering questions in Facebook groups or seeing our small YouTube channel (Gator_Overland)

I wanted to reach out to anyone who is considering the overland camping lifestyle. Just know that it doesn’t take a big 4x4 to go see incredible places. Many places can be accessed confidently in normal stock vehicles, even 2 wheel drive. Sometimes it’s hard to get good answers in the Facebook community about camp spots, and ideal seasonal times to go because folks are afraid to spoil their “honey holes”. These places need to be seen and explored!! YOU still have to put in the miles, time, and money to get there, and for that I’m happy to pay it forward and share with yall. Gotta start somewhere right?
Those of you looking for an outfitter to consult with about camping and overlanding gear and equipment should check out @Hawkesoutdoors. They have some incredible build ideas for vehicles and off-road trailers and years of experience in the field. I have shared with them some photos and coordinates of our favorite spots in the San Juan region of Colorado. Check out their Website and journal for specifics. Sometimes all we need that little bit of confidence booster to make it happen, and I encourge you to do it. Feel free to check out our channel for reviews and DIY and install videos.
Remember to leave it better than you found it so the next person can enjoy. Have fun, keep it safe, and Just G.O.!!!

Yesterday evening I had the honor and pleasure of being invited on the Bayou Dragons podcast. They present an outdoors based podcast covering the passions of hunting, fishing, wildlife, and just generally enjoying what nature has to offer, including enjoying a few beverages with friends. @setx_bayoudragons may be early in their production count of episodes, but these guys already have an incredible presence on all the social medial platforms (Spotify, Apple,TikTok, IG, FB, YT) and the podcast allows them to invite interesting folks and share their experience and knowlege of the outdoors. Porter, Mitch, and Tanner invited me to share a bit about my life, my world travels, and over 10,000 subscriptions later how the development of Gator Overland YouTube channel began.
Stay tuned to the end for a bonus official/unofficial cocktail of Texas,
the “Texas Bull Screw”. Grab a cold one, sit back, and get ready to laugh.
Keep at it guys! Thanks again y’all! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤝
