Almost five years ago, my marriage ended unexpectedly. It was a chapter of my life that brought profound change, reflection, and growth.

Today, as I reflect on our first-ever Dream Guards show, my heart swells with gratitude for the incredible moments Michael and I shared in such a unique and special partnership.

To stand on stage together as a husband-and-wife team, delivering a dynamic, empowering, and life-changing show, was nothing short of extraordinary. Michael was the one who encouraged me to share my story—deeply moved after I had shared it with him in private.

I’ll never forget his words:
“I can’t imagine what it must have been like to experience what you did as a child. But what is more incredible is how positive and vibrant you are regardless of your past trauma. By sharing your story, you will inspire so many to overcome challenges and adversity in their lives.”

His belief in me gave me the courage to open my heart to audiences. The butcher paper illustrations Michael created on a flip chart were such a captivating and heartfelt way to bring my story to life for young children.

Today, I am filled with immense gratitude for the legacy we built together, for the lives we touched, and for the memories that will remain etched in my heart forever.

Thank you, Michael Bennett, for being such an integral part of my journey and for so many incredible memories. 🙏❤️
