The background picture was shot in Rafah, a Palestinian city in the southern Gaza Strip, which was attacked by Israel early 2009. Bulldozers erased densely populated areas to make room for the new "iron wall". The families lost everything. Israel is accused of violating international law by targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure, preventing access to medical and humanitarian aid and through misuse of it's weapons. Israel is also accused of violating the Foreign Assistance Act, the US Arms Export Control Act.
