Hello everyone. Although some of you will find this announcement upsetting, trust me when I say that it's the best thing to happen to me.
It's time for me to start living my life properly. I feel like I've been wasting every day that passes by, for years now. There's a tough journey ahead of me, but I'm done throwing pity parties for myself. If I don't act now, I might never will again. Starting tomorrow, I will be on indefinite hiatus from most of social media.
My server, Oriental Orchid, will be placed onto the hands of Origin and I give him full permission to do anything with it. Not like this server had much going for it anyway (/lh), but I'm sure he will give it a purpose, sooner or later. I know it.
Obviously, things like the remaining ethereal quad islands, and, unfortunately, Pal Pub individuals will no longer be happening. This is the TRUE end of my MSM career, I guess. Chances are my Youtube channel as a whole will be on hiatus for who knows how long, but I might start posting things again, if I ever feel like doing so, but don't get excited by one measely upload every now and then. I will "go with the flow", as they say.
If you were someone that knew me more personally and I just ghosted you all of a sudden, please do not worry. I will reach out to you Eventually. Could be a few days, weeks, months, years. All I have to say is, you were all an important part of my life, and I am forever grateful for what you've done these past few years.
I think that's everything I have to say for now. I will give an update whenever I feel like it's the right time. Could be days or months. Just know that I'm not Gone. Not forever, at least. I will make a grand return one day, and I hope everyone will be ready for it. Peace.

I think it was only now that the thought I am gone from the community started to sink in, but fear not as I come with (probably) good news.
I am still astonished by the succes of Pentumbra's Mansion. I was obviously expecting it to put all of my other content to shame because base-game monsters bring a lot of attention, but I was not expecting it to crack 200k views in 3 weeks. This island alone got my channel monetized. Even seeing somewhat popular MSMtubers react to it made me feel good. It's only now that I truly recieved proper recognition, right when I stopped making MSM content... But maybe it doesn't have to be the end.
No, I'm not coming back in the community. All of my MSM projects will still remain cancelled, except for one. Similarly to Pentumbra's Mansion, I plan on making one of these island-thingamajigs for the other 4 ethereal quads. That is all I want to do. Nothing more. These will not really be a priority by any means, I still got school, personal studies and other projects to work on, but if I am disciplined enough, I might be able to finish all of them by the end of 2025. No promises. I guess, depending on what your definition of "being in the MSM community" is, I'm back? This is only a small little project that I will be working on the side so I don't really consider myself a proper member, but take it as you will. Hello everyone!
At first I was going to make a video talking about a whole bunch of things regarding me leaving MSM, but this past week has kinda exhausted me and I don't really feel like going through the hustle of putting together an elaborate final video. Instead, I'm just gonna say all I have to say in this community post.
1. Intro
I've been constantly hearing the same damn question left and right of "Why I'm leaving MSM?". Although I have talked about it plenty of times, I will repeat it one last time: Since the start of 2024, I have lost pretty much all interest in doing MSM content. After 5 years of constant work, it stopped being as fun as it once was. And it's not just that. I have evolved so much as an artist and composer that I feel MSM is somewhat limiting my potential, being stuck to the same old formula of having to incorporate MSM rules into my worldbuilding. I thought it's time for me to move on and start working on new, completely original projects that have no association with MSM (more on these projects later). I hope that clears up everything.
So... Here we are. Hard to believe it’s been 5 years, isn’t it? Sometimes the thought of how time flies by can be, for the lack of a better word, quite depressing. But despite everything, I consider these 5 years of my life well-spent.
Starting today, I am officially moving on from the My Singing Monsters community. I am glad to be able to leave on my own terms instead of being outed for being some kid-diddler or a massive freak, because that seems to have been the fashion with content creators these past few years, and our community is no exception, unfortunately.
5 years ago, on August 13th 2019, was when I posted my first MSM video. It was just a shitty contest entry made in MSM Composer. Like it or not, that was the video that paved the path going forward. I was just a wee little lad with a barely functional phone and a big dream. Although I’ve been playing the game since as far as 2016, my interest in fanmade MSM content dates back to about half a year prior to me making my first video. I was absolutely fascinated by the content from the likes of MantisGirl and Sebass87 (it sure did turn out well for them didn’t it /sarcasm), and their work is what determined me to become the greatest. As time went on, my artistic and musical skills were improving and I was making a whole lot of new friends. Although some of those friendships have been left behind, I was able to meet some absolutely amazing people and their implication, big or small, got me to where I am now.
2. Regarding my MSM Content
So you might be wondering, what’s gonna happen with all of my content? Well, unless any changes happen, the plan is as follows: All of my MSM content will remain public until the end of 2024. Starting with 2025, 99% of the videos will become unlisted and put in a playlist that everyone will be able to access. The only videos I will NOT be unlisting for now are some of the full song videos that I’m really proud of, those being Patch Palace, the two Epic Islands, Outfiller Nightmare, Pal Pub Reprise, Penumbra’s Mansion and Arctic Archipelago. I will also be deleting most community posts, except a few important ones, this one included. As for my monsters, although you are completely free to use them in any sectors or crossover-type projects, I AM NOT GIVING AWAY OWNERSHIP OF ANY OF THESE MONSTERS. This implies that you cannot claim any of these monsters as yours and/or use them in your original projects unless they’re meant to be guests/bonuses. I ask that you still give me credit any time you use my monsters. If you still aren't sure if you can use them or not, you can try and contact me on Discord about it (tag is "stephsstuff"). One thing note is that, although I am leaving the community, I will still be helping around with a few of my friends' projects here and there, so you might still hear my name around for a while.
3. The Future of Steph's Stuff
We have reached what is probably the most important part of all this yapping. Now that I am officially done with MSM, things are going to be changing quite a bit. As far as I'm concerned, the channel is going to be used only for covers, remixes and original songs, FOR NOW. I am not going to be focusing on YouTube content all that much, and will instead be working behind the scenes on my next big projects. I think it's way too early to disclose what any of these projects are going to be, but I can briefly describe what they will be:
Project A - An overhaul of the Abstars, more suited for a non-MSM audience. Now that things like islands and elements are out of the picture, the lore and worldbuilding is going to work much better than before. A lot of characters will be redesigned, removed or replaced. Only time will tell how much is going to change.
Project B - A completely new webcomic project. Will most likely have its own dedicated website. It will take quite a while for anything to be properly published, but I might share updates on it every few months. I plan on taking inspiration from media like Helluva Boss/Hazbin Hotel, Scott Pilgrim, Disney Renaissance movies, and I'm sure a bit of MSM influence will make its way into the project, too, so if I you are a fan of any of these things, you might want to be on the lookout for this.
I will also continue to make SP content every now and then, but it's currently the least of my worries. After I finish all of the themes for the evil EXes, I might try and mingle around with the idea of a 7th volume for the comics, a fan expansion of the story.
Like mentioned earlier, I will be occasionally making all sorts of covers, remixes and original songs and I will be posting them on this channel.
4. Shoutouts
I will say it again and again a million times, I am incredibly grateful for my time in this community. I always felt welcome here and I was able to better myself not just as a content creator, but also a person. I have met a whole bunch of incredible people, and I want to give a few shoutouts to some of these people:
- @snowmix4039, @SunVee, @BirdzMSM, @accountname1851 and @TheJessFromTheJess for being the best friends I could have ever asked for; Although I consider these my closest friends, my "besties", if you will, some other incredible people I have met include @ShiningStar1244, @Skyral100, @sycamore108, @its_me_gloomi, @GreenZyMSM, @High_Score_Dragon, @Omnomlara, @TemperssonMSM, @Ramenationss, @RaddRam, @ErikTheCleric, pretty much the entire Pal Pub crew, to put it simply.
- @ExclaimInc, @JakeTheDrake and @OriginOfMajesty for making some of the best content in the community and highly insipiring and influencing me, please do not stop making what you do.
I highly, HIGHLY, recommend you check out all of these people. I wouldn't be here today without them.
5. Closing Thoughts
Well, I think it's about time we wrap this up.
Now that I am no longer doing MSM content, I know most you will instinctually stop caring about me, but I ask that you at least give me a chance. It will be a big hustle to try and build a new audience from the ground up, so having as many returning fans as possible will be a huge help. Trust me when I say this: if you've liked what I've been doing so far, you're surely gonna like what I will be doing going forward.

Hello hello! We are officially 2 weeks away from my departure. Let me put some things on the table. Regarding the Unreleased Content series, there are only two videos left, one being for Arctic Archipelago and the other for the remaining 3 islands and just everything else Abstar related. The latter is gonna come first, probably today or tomorrow, due to reasons you will find out about soon :)
I have not one but TWO islands on the way which should be coming out next week (if everything goes according to plan). Although one of them is completely new, but has been teased here and there, the other one is something you've been waiting for since 2022..........
After everything that I mentioned previously comes out, I might be doing one or two livestreams to celebrate and on August 13th, the day that I leave, I will be posting one "last" video regarding the future of me and my channel, but let's leave all the emotional stuff for then. Be on the lookout for some awesome content!

In all honestly, I've nearly lost all interest in MSM. My silly little brain simply doesn't find it as compelling as it once was. After being a chronically active member of the MSM community for almost 5 years, this was somewhat predictable. I've also just recovered from heartbreak and depression, and on my time off, I was able to reflect a lot on myself and what I want to do going forward. So, with that in mind, since I don't want to torture myself doing something I no longer enjoy, I think it's safe to call it a day for the Abstars. Yep, officially cancelled (if that's the right word). I know that at least 1 (one) people held this class near and dear to their heart, so it's completely normal for these to be absolutely harrowing news, but I'm personally glad I can finally move on to my next huge ambitious project, one that has no relation to MSM.
Obviously the big lingering question is: What now?
Just because the Abstars are cancelled, it doesn't mean I'm done with MSM just yet. I thought that a fitting date for my department would be August 13th, the day that marks my fifth year in this community. SO, until then, there's still some things left to do. Across these few remaining months, I will be posting aaaaaall of my unreleased content, from Abstar stuff to the most obscure projects. They aren't scheduled in any way so just expect to come randomly. Aside from that, I'll use the time left to work on some other projects I've volunteered to help with, so even after I leave you guys still might see my work on other people's channels!
You guys are free to use the Abstars in your fanmade islands as guests and stuff, or just straight up make your own fanmade continuations/expansions of the class if you really want to.
From August 10th to 13th, I plan on doing a few 4-5 hour streams to react to islands, play games, draw, compose, and overall take my farewell, so I hope y'all are looking forward to that!
That being said, after my departure I will be archiving all of my MSM content and putting it in a playlist, my channel might get a slight rebranding, and I will be fully moving onto my next big project, which I can't reveal much about just yet.
IF you've enjoyed my content and want to see more from me, you are more than welcome to keep watching me. Although the MSM branding will be gone, it will still be my work. But alas, if MSM is all you came for, then I suppose you can move on.
I really don't want to get sentimental and emotional just yet, it's not the time yet, I simply made this announcement so that people don't find my departure so sudden and unexplained. Until then I'll still remain as active in the community as I was before, I'm just not making anymore content. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask them, I might awnser if they aren't too personal.
