Turning from sin cannot save because God requires perfection for salvation, but turning to Christ can save because he was crucified for the payment of our sins. His blood that he shed matters because he never sinned and he is perfection. He took it on himself to bear the sins of those that believe in his name. If you trust in him you will be saved from lake of fire and hell. Christ died for our sins so that we could be saved according to the scriptures read 1st John. This is assurance to all believers that we who we trust in is worthy and strong and we will be saved because of our faith in him.
