Compression bras are meant to feel snug, like your getting a big hug. If it's too loose, it won't be doing it's job...compressing. If it's too tight, you won't be able to breathe easily and since you'll likely be wearing it 24/7 for a while, this is a problem.
The right fit is important for your recovery. Book your fitting appointment a few weeks before your surgery so you have time for a fitting and are not rushed.
*only wear a compression bra after surgery when specifically directed to by your doctor

Some brands warranty breast prostheses for chlorinated and salt water. It's always recommended to wear your prostheses in mastectomy swimwear so the "girls" stay in place but should they decided to swim away from you...they float so you can retrieve them and they won't be lost at the bottom of the lake.
