The portrayal of Africa and Africans in the global media has been to date mainly negative, from a continent war-ridden and aggressively exploited for its abundant natural resources to the poverty stricken, ill-health, uneducated populace and it's corrupt leaders and the high economic migration of its human resources.
There is also another face of Africa, there are success stories; from Nobel Prize winners to world leading economists and scientists and inventors, designers, artists, actors, writers...the list goes on, so much talent unknown to most Africans. They can't inspire and be celebrated if they are not known.
What if there could be a place where all these luminaries tell their stories and give their views on African issues? A place where we could celebrate the good of Africa and inspire Africans to contribute to the development of their homeland instead of waiting for help from countries outside the continent.
