Songwriter and producer Andrew Vait formed his bedroom pop-turned-heartland rock solo project, Little Wins, in 2018. His songs translate into adventuresome soundscapes that draw influence from artists like Waxahatchee, The War On Drugs, Fleetwood Mac and HAIM. His vocal timbre is often compared to Steve Winwood, Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins. He pulls this disparate confluence of music history together into a sound that is unmistakably his own.
Vait recently finished recording his debut full-length album, Restless Medium, Quiet Moon. His work on the LP speaks of an earnest longing for balance, the urgent need for flight and the curious spirit within us all. The urge to cry and be held, and to reach desperately for connection, to light a fire in one’s self and perhaps in the hearts of others, and to uncover a deeper understanding of grief and loneliness and the joy and beauty that can spring from both.
