Hello, o lovely people. I hope you are having a wonderful mid-winter. My apologies for so few uploads, but things have been delightfully chaotic here. Also, we are about to head to a tiny cottage in Wales, whose most notable characteristics are a roaring log fire combined with a complete absence of mobile connection and wi-fi! So, please enjoy yourselves, and I will be back early in the New Year.

Love to you all,

TC

Hello everyone. I have just created an account at "Buy Me A Coffee", so if anyone ever feels so inclined as to, well, buy me an occasional coffee, that would be wonderful, and very much appreciated.

The link is on my home page, and many thanks in advance.

Hello, lovely folks. I just wanted to let you know that I will be recording the next couple of "Letters to Milena" on Monday, so they will appear here shortly thereafter. Which brings me to some questions for you all:

For longer pieces (like the letters), getting the scrolling text lined up to the audio is... surprisingly problematic. I will always put the text of the reading in the comments, but how do people feel about - for long pieces only - there being no scrolling text? Or is the slight misalignment of text and audio not really a problem? And finally, do you prefer longer or shorter pieces?

Many thanks for any input.

1500!

Wow - I really am utterly speechless - 1500 subscribers! I want to thank you all so much; not only for subscribing (which is wonderful enough in itself), but also for the lovely comments that you have made here. You really are a special bunch of people.

I think it is safe to say that this channel is highly unlikely to ever monetise, so every subscribe, and every view, and every comment means something surprisingly personal to me, so please keep on being the lovely folks that you are!

(Oh, and feel free to tell all your friends - I would love to be writing a similar post starting with 3000!)

Thank you all so much,

The Talkative Crow

Hello everyone. I'm sorry there has been such a prolonged absence, but I had an accident that left me pretty much immobilised for some time. I am now back on my feet, but not exactly firing physically on all cylinders. I will be recording again shortly, though output will be reduced for a while. I intend re-recording a lot of my earlier stuff, because, frankly, they were pretty awful, and I know I can do a better job now. I will also be recording plenty of new pieces, so if you have any particular requests, I am all ears!

Thank you so much for your kind thoughts - it really does mean a lot to me, and apologies again for the unplanned blackout. Hugs to you all. X

Apologies lovely people, but I seem to have picked up a rather impressive cold, so I'm afraid I won't be doing any recording for the next couple of days. I will, however, carry on transferring old recordings to the new scrolling format. On the bright side, there is a crow sat on the fence just outside my window, preening himself in the morning sun. There should be more poems about crows.

Good day, one and all! From my window, I am looking out at a rather grey, somewhat soggy Wiltshire sky. The crows are muttering to themselves in the trees, and a robin is pecking around in the grass at the edge of the garden path. The bluebells are but a heartbeat from flowering, and all is most definitely right with the world. Part of that is my wonderful subscribers, all 1000 of you! I just want to say thank you to each and every one of you - it makes such a difference to know that my recordings are not just tumbling into the void!

Anyway, thank you again, and have a truly wonderful day.

Hello everyone. You (hopefully) have noticed the new video format I have been using of late, and (hopefully) you like it. In amongst new recordings, I am going to work through my existing catalogue and bring them to the new format, re-recording as required. So if you stumble across an apparent repeat, it's not me going senile! Well, probably not...
