NASA Airborne features documentary videos of research missions conducted by the NASA Airborne Science Program. The videos are produced by NSERC, the National Suborbital Education and Research Center. NSERC is the product of a cooperative agreement between NASA and the University of North Dakota. NSERC is part of the Ames Cooperative for Research in Earth Science and Technology (ARC-CREST).
NSERC supports science mission operations and aircraft deployments for Earth science research campaigns. NSERC is also responsible for education and outreach activities for the Airborne Science Program, including organization and operation of the Student Airborne Research Program (SARP). SARP is an 8-week summer internship for advanced undergraduate students majoring in science, technology, engineering and math. SARP participants gain hands-on research experience in airborne science using NASA's flying laboratories.
