"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." James:4:7
Isaiah 25:
"8 He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken [it]."
DEATH is the penalty for sin, but what is SIN and what is DEATH?
"Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law:
for sin is the transgression of the law."
(New Testament - 1 John 3:8 )
Ephesians 2:
"8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast."
Saved from what?
From DEATH.
Thanks to our Creator and his only begotten Son the Messiah for saving us from the PENALTY (Death) of sin, (sin - transgression of Law) but not of ourselves. "IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD"
We can not earn it; we can not save ourselves from this death.
