Hello guys. This is my old washer. It’s a Kenmore Elite HE3t. I haven’t really talked about this on here, so I thought I’d do so. I don’t know exactly when this machine was made, or when my parents bought it, but I think they got it in around 2007 or 2008. I think they got it before I was born in ‘08. This was a really good washer, and I really like the Kenmore and Whirlpool front loaders made in that timeframe. This washer never really gave us any problems that I know of.

I think this was the machine that got me interested in washers and dryers in the first place. When I was younger, I would sit there, and spin the drum by hand, which I later found out was bad for the machine. At some point though, the bearings failed, so it would clunk on spin. In 2017 I think it was, the bearing seal also went out, so it started squealing. It never leaked though. I also overdosed the detergent a lot, so it threw the Sud code a lot.

For a while, we had a Whirlpool Duet Steam WED9600WW dryer alongside this washer, but the dryer stopped heating in December 2015, so we got a Whirlpool Duet Steam WED87HEDW. Remember that Whirlpool Duet WED70HEBW0 that I did an overview on in October 2023? Well, while we were waiting for our WED87 to get delivered, we used the WED70. At the time, the house that was (still is) in was across the street from my house.

In March 2018, we moved, and got the Whirlpool WFW92 set which we still (unfortunately) have, and is still featured on this channel. We left the HE3T behind, and we rented that house out on AirB&B for 2 years, so I still got to use it occasionally. At that point, I noticed that it was using a lot more water than it used to, and the pressure switch hadn’t been adjusted. In 2020, we sold that house, and put that washer in storage along with the dryer. In 2021, we moved them to another house we rented out, but have since sold, because it needed a new washer and dryer

Just out of curiosity, we looked that house up on Zillow recently. There was a picture of the laundry room, but it appeared that those machine had been replaced by a Samsung top load set.

Anyways, that’s the story of the washer that got me into appliances. Thanks for reading this INCREDIBLY long post, and happy Saturday.

Dang that was a long post.😂

Peace out guys. ☮️✌️

Btw, this picture was taken in June, 2015.

What do you guys prefer, older appliances, newer, or both. Personally, I like both, but for the most part older is better. It just depends on what you’re getting.

So yeah. YouTube glitched, and unsubscribed me from EVERYONE I’m subscribed to.
Edit 4/17/24: It’s fixed now. Have you guys had this problem?

Hello guys. Remember that post I did about that Whirlpool Duet Steam washer and dryer with FanFresh 4.4, eco boost, and the eco monitor? Well I found the model number for the washer. It’s the WFW9640XW00. I’ve literally only found two pictures on google about these, and nothing on YouTube. Have any of you guys ever heard of or seen these? Comment if you have.
Thanks, and peace out.✌️

So yeah. These are 6 years old now. I know how I’ve said they are absolutely terrible. One great thing about them is the reliability. Both machines have only had one repair. The washer got a new door lock after one year, and the dryer got a new idler pulley system after 3 years. Both machines are working without any problems, and they get a lot of use. Now, we probably do about 20 loads a week. The washer has also taken my many overloads and overdoses no problem. I would have thought for sure these would have been on their way out by now.

Hello guys. I found these old photos from 6 years ago on my old phone. This is a matching Whirlpool Duet Steam washer and Resource Saver dryer set with TumbleFresh 4.4 on the washer. The washer is the model with eco boost, and the eco monitor instead of cycle status lights. If anyone knows the model numbers of these, please let me know, because I can't find them anywhere. I really like these models, and all the other models earlier in this generation. I believe these were made in around 2011 or so, judging by when Fanfresh was introduced on Whirlpool front load washers. Thanks for reading. Happy Thursday, and peace out.✌️
