Welcome to Italessons.com, if you want to learn Italian you're in the right place!
Italian is a Romance language, a descendant of Vulgar Latin. If you speak English, don't forget the historic presence of Latin in Britain, which the Romans first introduced when they arrived on the isle in the 1st century BC and again with the cultural influences of the Renaissance.
Because of this historical precedent, in Italian there are words that are exactly the same as in English like area, idea, missile, stereo and a lot more.
There are also many words like cereali, limite, minuto, errore, dieta, calmo, momento (and many more!) that you’ll be able to understand before you even start your first Italian lesson.
My name's Edoardo, I've been teaching Italian since 2013. On this channel I'll be posting videos about the Italian language (including the use of tenses, grammar, conjugations and more). You can follow my lessons and practice for free on italessons.com!
