Photographer
Twenty five years ago I was developing TriX (and after TMAX 400) films, printing contact sheets and selecting, with a magnifying glass, the negatives to enlarge. Today, Photoshop is my darkroom and, I must say, I've surrendered to the digital. I will never forget the secrets of the lab, although the computer screen magic light has replaced, without asking, the beam of light of the enlarger and the silver grain particles are now pixels. The profound nostalgia of the red darkroom safelight and the unforgettable smell of the fixer stuck to my hands are always present, but the transition to digital photography was no less fascinating. Beginning with iPhoto and progressing through the first slideshows with music, I am now an amateur playing around with Final Cut Express.
