I am John Wesley, a guitarist and songwriter who has made a career as a professional Musician. On this channel I share insight and lessons learned through my music career journey from the late 70's, into the club scene of the 80's, as I chased the "Big Record Deal" playing 6 nights a week, 4 sets a night, into the 90's touring the world, supporting record deals, until now, as I became a true "Journeyman". Many years as a recording artist with 7 solo studio albums, as a sideman (performing with Vertical Horizon, Porcupine Tree, Big Elf, Fish, Mike Tramp of White Lion, Sister Hazel, Sound of Contact, Steven Wilson solo), and as a studio owner/engineer has taught me many lessons. As I've continued to write, record and perform, "YouTube University" has helped me learn along the way. Time for me to add to that pool of experience by sharing what I know. There are many paths to a career in music. I hope my insight provides something you can use in your own music career.
