Because it is related to my studies, I learned about ultrasonic-related signal processing. At some point, I suddenly realized that I can use these techniques to realize a small idea, making it easier for me to arrange music because I don't have absolute pitch. I made a small program that recognizes pitches. Its basic idea is to use the short-time Fourier transform (STFT). By setting the appropriate time window length and convolution degree according to the speed of the song, it can accurately mark the notes contained in each chord in real-time. I think this is just a slightly improved version of any music visualizing tools.
And then I also implemented a strange feature, reconstructing songs with simple sin waves. By using statistical methods, the important pitches of each window are selected, and then they are arranged by the time of their occurrence to reconstruct the whole song. In this way, only the important notes are reconstructed, and all the tone colors are turned into the color of the sin wave. By clicking on the graph, the corresponding pitch sound will be played, which is very helpful for finding those harmonies that create magical colors but are difficult to capture.

I have been in Shanghai for a month. I stay in Harmonic Studio and my new videos were recorded here. I am satisfied with the sound quality of my "Godfather" medley. We are still developing new recording methods and I think we already had great progress. Our latest Steinway sample has the prototype of those professional recordings.
To be honest, the 007 is just a casual video. I am just trying to upload something because the statistics of the "Godfather" video are too bad.

Then I reopened my piano lid that was covered with thick ash. From then on, I studied piano by myself. I have to mention that I learned the piano with several teachers when I was very young. However, etudes without beauty eventually forced me to give up. After a ten-year interval, the only thing I remained is the skill of reading piano sheets.
