i dunno who needs to hear this but using reference isn’t cheating and needing to look at reference doesn’t make you any less of any artist. depending on what type of artist you are, you should absolutely be using it. in fact you're improving your art skills as a human being. and to be honest if anyone says otherwise they are toxic as all hell.
i myself have like, what 13,000 images saved on my folder?? and it's mostly just random artwork i like to look back and get inspired with.
art isn't a party trick, we don't have to be in the business of impressing ppl with the process. never hold yourself back.
