IS IT HARD TO PLAY DRUMS AND DJ AT THE SAME TIME?
Playing drums and DJing at the same time can be challenging, as it requires coordination between different skills and abilities.
Drumming involves physically playing an instrument and requires a good sense of timing, rhythm, and muscle control. It also requires the ability to play different rhythms and patterns with the different limbs, and to adapt to different styles and genres of music.
DJing, on the other hand, involves manipulating recorded music and creating a seamless flow of songs by beatmatching and mixing. It requires the ability to use DJ equipment, such as a mixer and turntables, and a good sense of timing and music structure.
Combining the two skills can be difficult, as it requires the ability to coordinate the live drumming with the recorded music, and to create a cohesive sound while switching between the two. It also requires the ability to quickly adapt to different musical elements and unexpected changes in the music.
However, many DJs and drummers have found ways to incorporate both skills into their performances, and have developed unique and creative ways to blend drumming and DJing together. It's definitely challenging but with practice and experience, it can be done.
