When Perry Rhodan landed the
Stardust II on the planet Tramp in 1975 AD, during his search for the Planet of Eternal Life, a young (and far too psionically talented) Ilt (Mousebeaver) stowed aboard the ship. This young alien (a powerful telekinetic, telepath, and teleporter) was soon brought into the Mutant Corps and, over the course of time, developed strong friendships with some of the most powerful people in the galaxy including Rhodan and Bell (who is often the butt of Gucky's humor).

Gucky has three beloved hobbies: carrots, scratching sessions (particularly behind the ears), and epic story-telling. The carrots can come from almost any source but he particularly loves those that he has grown himself. The scratching sessions he will accept from almost anyone and has been known to pull in favors to get them. The epic stories are almost always about the adventures of the "Savior of the Universe", a brave and resourceful Mousebeaver (himself) whose actions save the lives of his human (and other) friends and the universe. The stories would probably not be quite so popular if they weren't, substantially, true with his own role only somewhat enhanced to the detriment of the others involved.

After marrying Iltu (a fellow Ilt) he became the proud father of Jumpy, a particularly psionically-gifted boy.

Because Mousebeavers normally live from 500 to 600 years he would not accept a Cell Activator in 2326 AD. In 2437 AD he underwent a bio-physical hyper-regeneration on the planet Monol which reduced his physical age by about 500 years. In 2931 AD he finally accepted a Cell Activator which he surrendered to It in 1169 NGE. Finally, in 1173 NGE he was implanted with a Cell Activator Chip.
