Madeline Rosene (Mah-duh-line Ro-seen) is an “indie pop-n-roll” songwriter/singer known for her acerbic wit, irreverent humor, and willingness to cross genres.
Rosene released her debut album, Raised on Porn, weeks before the Covid-19 pandemic. The album deals with fighting phoniness, navigating relationships in LA as a millennial knowing that this generation was the first to be raised with surging rates of cosmetic surgery, overly photoshopped images, sugar-dating, internet pornography, social media, and dating apps. The album title speaks to Rosene’s beliefs on the increasing difficulty for humans to deeply connect with one another due to the growing pressure to depersonalize, plug in, and create your avatar.
Rosene has performed at venues such as Hotel Cafe, Los Globos, and The Viper Room in LA and Arlene’s Grocery in NYC. Her music has been played on radio stations internationally and throughout the USA. Her second album, Everyday Existential Crisis, released October 28, 2022.
