Another 3 months have rolled around and I applied for remonetization on YouTube. This time I deleted a bunch of videos with 20,000+ views each on Spider-Man, Street Fighter, all of that; things people actually search me for. Because YouTube refuse to tell me which are the offending videos, I deleted about 80 videos this time in a hope to remove the "right" ones, on top of the *500* I deleted last time. Nope, still demonetized for hateful content against protected groups. Those videos are holy grails for YouTubers – lightning in a bottle – the perfect star alignment of scripting, riffing and timing we spend a lifetime trying to forge. (Go ahead and try to make a few of those viral videos and see for yourself.) I could be deleting videos with tens of thousands of views which are actually within the rules, but there's no way of knowing with YouTube's purposefully broad terms and conditions. That is approximately 10,000 hours worth of research, recording and editing now consigned to dust. In a bid to have my videos shared again and not be shadowbanned, I am destroying all of the videos which got me a following in the first place. Let the madness of that sink in: to have a following again, I have to destroy all of the content which makes me a following. A Big Brother existence of censorship is already here, people. We are in it.

I can re-apply for monetization on November 23.

Now imagine, just imagine, spending 10,000+ hours over the years bravely making truthful content that – if it were shared (like it literally was before the shadowban) – would be explosively popular, only to be told to bin it all and that you can't make any money off it. This has now been going on for THREE YEARS. I'm just gonna have to delete every video I ever made; there's no other way. My alt gaming channel "Massacre the Game" is monetized if you want to follow that as it has a higher chance of being shared. For the time being all of the political content I make will be crushed by the algorithm, meaning it makes little sense for me to spend thousands of hours doing that for no gain. I'll still do a few though. If you want to support me doing this you can on the usual links on my videos.
