Merry Christmas Eve, ya'll! I hope you are having a wonderful Eve filled with love and laughter and hopes for the future. Every one of you deserves that. I know that's not possible for everyone. So I want to say to those of you that don't have that on this holiday, I know. But I want you to know that even though I can't necessarily give you laughter and hope, I am, at all times, giving you my love. You are always with me. As I sit here in this motel room you bought me, you are with me. I talk to you. I wonder how you are doing. I wonder what you think of the show I'm watching. I make jokes and we laugh. In my head, anyway. lol. This might sound crazy. But for me, you are my friend and you are sitting next to me at all times. Sometimes I capture that on camera. Sometimes I don't. The most amazing gift vlogging has given me is a village of friends so I'm never, ever really alone. Ack. So cheesy, I know. But also true. Thank you. I'm thinking about you. Whether your day is filled with laughter and hope, or it is another day you have to make it through, you do have love. You have my love. Always.

Upon inspection I found the van starts runs and drives well
It will need 2 front tires replaced asap
Condition of Battery will need to be monitored
Cylinder head temp sensor and tcs sensor codes came up in the self test and may be problematic in the future
Transmission lines are cracked and one is starting to leak and needs replacement
The lower radiator hose needs to be shortened as it is currently rubbing on the steering arm
The sway bar bushings are worn out
Recommend oil flush.
So I'm a little conflicted. I went ahead and asked the seller if he'd remove the latter and metal shelves and take $5,000 for it. He agreed to take out the shelves/ladder and countered $5,500. No idea if that's the right move. I wish I was smarter about all this!! lol As always, any input is so appreciated!!

Hi, ya'll! I'm sorry I didn't get an update out yesterday. My eyes are red from reading so many used van ads! lol. I'm sending a mechanic out to look at a 2007 E250 for me today. I had no luck finding a Chevy, but supposedly the 5.4 in the Fords are okay? I don't know. The mechanic seems super nice and wants to help make sure I'm in a reliable van, so hopefully he can tell me whether it's any good. What are our thoughts on Dodge Grand Caravan versus Chrysler Town and Country? I'm still hoping I'll find a good Chevy Astro or Express, but that's probably out of my reach. There are tons and tons of Caravans and Town and Countries, though. Are they reliable? I'd love to get your input!

Welp, the van wouldn't make it to the transmission shop this morning. She just really disliked going into gear. And, while stuck on the side of the road, I decided to listen to the universe. I was hoping there was a way to fix the van so that I could have some of your gift left as an emergency fund. You guys seemed split about half and half whether it would be good to rebuild the transmission or to get a different van. But I think now that the universe has chimed in, I'm thinking getting a different van is the way to go. I was able to limp back to the motel (the universe definitely helped me there!) so at least I didn't have to get her towed. Yet, anyway. lol. I have no idea what one does with a van that isn't working and won't be getting fixed, at least by me. Either way, I've got this motel until the 10th so I still have some time to think. And that, of course, is thanks to you guys. We'll get it figured out! I love you!

Also, mental illness. I have it! In the form of chronic depression and ADHD. I'll talk about living with mental illness partly because that's how I ended up in the van in the first place. :)
