Will the mandatory overtime for VBA claims tackling the 1.4million+ backlog cause the accuracy rate to sky rocket?

The VA wants their money back and that sucksā¦
Iām not sure how I feel about that but I covered some highlights from the House Subcommittee on this issue here:

ā¼ļøSeriously, and I mean thisā¦
Hands down the most thorough video youāll find on assessing your rated disabilities for increases.
Increases usually occur years after disabilities are service-connected. In fact, this is the easiest route to increase your overall rating.
The hard part is already doneā¦that being service-connection.
Best part is, all you is Gunny Google.
Hope this helps and enjoy.

The Senate hearing with the VA Secretary is a MUCH bigger deal than I think the veteran community at large is giving it credit for.
What did we learn? (buckle up, because this is bipartisan!)
1: The VA Secretary carries a bad habit from his Congressman days as a politician and gave politician-esque answers. (that's not good...)
2: We can count on the Senate to not accept the handling of veteran benefits without oversight. This is from both sides of the isle. (in my opinion, this is the best thing that came out of this Senate hearing)
3: While the VA Secretary gives politician-esque answers, I still think he cares for veterans and is making changes as best he can to benefit the veteran. (just check #4...)
4: The VA Secretary clearly showed his agenda. Trump first, Veteran second. (the cuts to VA are driven by demand from executive branch versus internal from the VA...if cuts originated internal from VA, then shaping the VA to better serve veterans would make sense...Executive Branch down or top-down does not make sense)
5: Senators will make a political spectacle when they can. Democrats will hammer Republicans every chance they get and Republicans will hammer Democrats every chance they get.
What matters most?
I would argue that veteran benefits, given the VA's increase in budget over the last 10 years has put the Department of Veteran Affairs in the spotlight just behind the DoD. This means that, and I hate to say this...Veterans are now a critical political pawn in everyone's game.
Veteran benefits and veteran legislation MUST remain non-partisan, not bi-partisan and certainly not partisan.
Let me know your thoughts on what I have taken from the Senate hearing with the VA Secretary.
Good luck, everybody.

Something that helps my healthcare is accomplishing tasks.
You would be surprised what accomplishing task, no matter how insignificant they may be can help your mental health.

Dudes, listenā¦
The reality is that some veterans have it easier than others strictly due to evidence from their service records.
That creates the āhavesā and the āhave notsā.
It is shunned to go to medical today and it was REALLY shunned to go to medical āback in the day.ā
So if you fall in the āI have no medical evidence categoryā then you REALLY need to put the work in and submit your evidence-based claims.
People have said outrageous things like I said, āOlder veterans donāt deserve their benefitsā which is a ridiculous statement and something that I did not say.
The reality is the VA cares about the Big 3. You either have, or you donāt. If you donātā¦you REALLY need to submit your evidence-based claim(s).
Thanks āŖ@TheSaltyOldMarineā¬. I call people out, too. But donāt put words in my mouth. Evidence-based claims are the way to go. Old, young, doesnāt matter.
The video I made was about how I got 100%. Not how anyone else gets their ratingā¦it is how I got my rating. For me, it was easy. I fall in the āhavesā category. For others, especially peacetime and due to the stigma of medical, they likely fall in the āhave notsā category.

Happy Easter!
One of my favorite studies is in John where āthe hourā is referenced.
He keeps saying that āthe hour has not yet comeā and finally this transition into āthe hour has come.ā
Most notably in John 13 when the hour finally did come, āHe loved us til the very end.ā That is what has been on mind this Easter holiday. That He loved us til the very end.
Happy Easter!

Mission: Educate to give Veterans the power to submit their own claims and/or speak with a VSO intelligently about their claim to ultimately disrupt the market against insane claim consulting companies charging 5x or 6x the increase on future benefits.
About me:
My name is Clay Simms and Iām the creator of TheCivDiv. I served in the US Marine Corps for 10 years.
2011 - 2015: Infantry
2015 - 2019: Psychological Operations
2019 - 2021: Reserve PSYOP
In 2019 I began my transition after completing a horrendous Transition Readiness Seminar. I used my skill set from PSYOP and IO to land a government contracting position and eventually became Federal employee for the Army. In 2019 I submitted my first claim with a VSO that I would soon learn did NOT understand the process. That is what started my VA Disability journey to learn the process myself. By helping my friends and reading, a lot of reading, I am now able to share my knowledge and experience with the Veteran community.
