Join us tomorrow as we show you the devestation from a recent Volcanic eruption on Ruang Island. All 800 inhabitants were evacuated and so far, none have returned. 7am Bali timezone

Watch out for next weeks video, its going to be a cracker. We anchor at a recently erupted volcano. The entire island had to be evacuated and every building was destroyed by lava and falling debris. No-one has returned and it was sorta spooky to be there.

No video today guys, sorry about that. We just arrived in a beautiful place on the north coast of Bali after a 350nm passage. It was the longest passage yet for Eli and the longest yet for Marie on Trade Runner.

Sorry for the lack of videos lately. We are back in Lombok and living aboard Trade Runner again. Took a couple of weeks off to get back in the swing of things and ease baby Eli into boat life. New content coming soon!

In 2024 we will be circumnavigating Sulawesi, Indonesia, parts of Borneo too. As we have more space on our Catamaran we are toying with the idea of offering bespoke experiences. 1-3 people could join us for 7-10 days and in true Learning By Doing fashion soak up some of my 25 years of experience as a professional photographer or 10 years as an (almost) full time cruiser. It would be fully hands-on or relaxed, as you wish. Food and accommodation provided aboard Trade Runner, our 12m performance cat.

Eli got his New Zealand citizenship papers in the post today to go with his French one. We’re working on his Swiss paperwork now.
