I'm going to be taking a break from this channel, possibly permanently.
I've been doing YouTube as my "hobby" for the last ~4 years, this channel for the last year and a half. I've had a really difficult relationship with YouTube, as I'm sure most YouTubers have. It's simultaneously the most fulfilling creative outlet I've had in my life and has felt like the end all be all of my life. I have put significantly more hours into YouTube than my actual full-time job and for significantly less pay/hour. YouTube was never about money for me, although it was nice and when that small amount became 'worthwhile' it made it even easier to justify sinking in all my free time. But the sad fact is that I've been neglecting the relationships in my life, the real connections I have with people who care about me, because I've been unable to prioritize them over YouTube in the long term.
This is a particular me problem and it may be too much information, but I feel like I need to say it because I truly am so proud of what I've managed to build here and the small community that has grown with me and I feel like I at least owe you an explanation before disappearing. It blows me away that people email me for advice on writing or their video ideas or their own fan projects. I'm going to miss having this as a regular part of my life, but the time spent behind the scenes has become deeply unhealthy and for that reason I need to stop this right away.
I don't want to say that this is it forever, I don't know what the future holds. I'm focusing on myself and my loved ones right now, trying to develop and instill healthy habits to strengthen those relationships and actually live my life. So much of my personal life had been dictated by whether or not I had enough time to work on my next video. The amount of times I denied spending time with my friends/girlfriend/family because I needed at least 4 hours in the day to work on a video is frankly despicable and I'm so privileged to have had them stick with me through it all. They deserve better and I intend to make up for lost time.
So when I feel more comfortable with my circumstances and find a healthy way to schedule YouTube into my life I maybe could begin making videos again. It's not off the table.
So yeah, I just wanted to throw this out there in case you ever wonder what happened to good ol Game Den.
I'll miss you all, but maybe we'll meet again sometime down the line.

What are some games or topics or rambling ranting nonsense YOU'D like me to cover on the channel?
Not everything has to be Arkham and I'm a little burnt out on game pitches. So aside from those two major topics, I'm curious what you'd be interested in... doesn't have to be superheroes or games, literally anything. I'm open to ideas!

Little update on my Arkham Origins 3 script...
It's been a while since my last video and I had hoped to drop the Arkham Origins 3 video a week from today, but sometimes life just happens. My real work has gotten hectic lately, I adopted a 9-month-old kitten (His name is Squid and I would kill for him), and the script has just been kicking my ass. I'm not even halfway through the first draft.
The good news is, I think I finally cracked it. I realized I was just trying to jam way too much into this story. After cutting some characters and plotlines, I'm far more confident and content with the outline now and I'm full steam ahead. I can't promise an exact day everything will be ready, since once the script is done I still have a three hour video to record and edit, but I'm aiming for some time in April. I hope it turns out okay.

The holidays are over, I'm recovering from some serious sneezes, and I'm ready to fRiGgIn go. New video in two weeks. Also, uh wow I just hit 10,000 subbies. That's pretty bananas... so all I can say is thank you. It's a big milestone for me and I just want to say that I appreciate all your support. Writing that doesn't feel like enough though. I want to interact with you all a bit more directly. Maybe I should start by doing the YouTuber thing of a Q&A? Idk if anyone would be interested in that. Please let me know in the comments if you would be OR if you have a better suggestion (you probably do)
