About
The PÄ Boys is road movie set in Aotearoa (New Zealand). It is about 'Life, Death and f*#king good Music'.
Danny, Cityboy and Tau form a three piece band called The PÄ Boys. With girlfriends Jo and Puti they set off on a tour of small town pubs on the East Coast and Northland, New Zealand with the aim of reaching Cape Reinga, the northern most tip of the country.
The PÄ Boys is a story of journeys. The physical journey as The PÄ Boys tour and the journey that Danny and later Tau take in Te Rerenga Wairua, the spirit world and the gateway to Hawaiki.
It is a story that explores the strength of friendship, the importance of whÄnau (family) whakapapa (genealogy) and history.
It is a story of the search for identity.
