i’m making another post about this since it hasn’t stopped. (skip to the end if you want to get to the point)
i am not a boy. my name is not luke. i’d change my channel to stop this, but it’s accidentally become my brand. if you’re cis, you probably don’t understand how badly misgendering someone can affect their mental health, but it’s been really bad for mine. my pronouns are they/them.
THE MORAL OF THE STORY: please normalise checking somebody’s bio for pronouns before you address them. even if it seems obvious, please get in the habit of checking anyway. i always make sure i address people by the correct name and pronouns, because it’s just common human decency. it’s really not hard. maybe tell some of your friends to get in the habit of checking bios, or even to put their own pronouns in their bio. it just makes things a lot easier.
idk i don’t know what else to say. i know people won’t listen but i tried.
