From one of the greatest albums of all time.
"Trick Of The Tail" from Genesis.
I sat in for a Genesis cover band in studio on "Squonk" in 1978 on skins. I was 16. Nailed it in 3 takes.
Helps when, I must have listened to Trick Of The Tail like 800 times on the turntable with my dad, me, my brother and my cousins plus my mom, aunts & uncles. That ALBUM is still in my mom and dads collection to this today.
And it helped that Keith Moon, John Bonham and Ginger Baker were my first drum heroes.
At window cracking volume. Especially this one"Squonk" with the crazy bass lol
We actually recorded that session on cassette, which sadly is long gone.
Even at 62 I still have that inside me screaming to get out.
It popped up on Spotify for me today. Brought me to tears.๐ข

Gen Z this is your Zeppelin, and you kids are making some of the greatest music ever made.
Take it from this old boomer this is your time kids, You missed our times but these are your times and I'm telling you as an old boomer your times are going to be as great if not greater than ours and they will be talking about it 50 years from now just like we do about ours.
I feel very privileged to even have a glimpse of where you kids are at today it reminds me of our times more than you'll ever know.
