The flag you see in the left corner is the PeaceTime Civil Flag. Whether it is nationally recognized or not isn't the point. The ideals that have been placed on it does matter, because it's a symbol just like Old Glory. There is something wrong, (in my opinion), with any person or country that says they uphold the ideals of Peace, Liberty, and Freedom, but they refuse to recognize a flag that symbolizes those very principles.....
