The Research, Innovate and Emerge (RIEm), is designed to help businesses to access innovation funding and grow. RIEm has produced some good results for the SMEs attending the programme, applying for, and winning, public funding for collaborative research and innovation with a university partner.
Since the launch of RIEm Programme in 2021, the programme has already helped 48 SMEs. A third edition is planned for 2024.
Geoff Rodgers, Pro Vice Chancellor-Enterprise and Employment said: “The RIEm programme helps businesses to access tailor made university research expertise to validate their solution and secure innovation funding”.
Michael Joseph, RIEm Lead, adds, “We have already witnessed successes with those SMEs that have fully cooperated with the RIEm programme vision.”
Brunel University will be launching RIEm India very soon to help scale ups in India to access innovation funding.
