Second MacBook Pro I’ve had. Both from new. Both have had major issues and it’s always when they prompt an update. Not to mention then if you do fix it, none of the apps work because they’re not compatible with said update.
But at least if you go in and ask for help on the faulty product they sold you, they’re really willing to help… at a huge additional cost!

The things that make modular amazing are also its downfall at times. It’s allows for too much experimentation!
It can make Patching and writing seem overwhelming at times.
Finding an approach that is repeatable and really allows you to focus on sound, was really important to me. Rather than just going at the modular aimlessly.
I’ve developed myself a simple but effective formula over the last few months to better approach patching and writing. I’ve found I’ve been able to use it regardless of the genre on the project.

I think all you modular enthusiasts, are in for a treat with today's video!
I had the pleasure of performing a track that blends the unique sounds of modular with an incredible violist named Rowan - who, fun fact, was previously the drummer for Goldfrapp.
One of my best friends, and long-time musical collaborator, Joe, joined me to play the piano. This allowed me to split my focus between the guitar, the modular, and laying down the vocals for the track.
This performance was recorded at the superb Beckview Studios, a gem I'm still thrilled to find just a stone's throw from my home, under the skilled hand of the very talented Chris Jones.
The song originated purely as a personal outlet, and I never planned for it to see the light of day. Looking back, I could never have anticipated how beautifully the performance turned out, and I'm extremely grateful for everyone who contributed to making it happen.
The excitement is hard to contain, and I can't wait to share this with all of you this evening!
