I'm so pleased to share a new EP with you today. Fleeting Moments, Lasting Memories was created in collaboration with my good friend Tom Honey aka @gwfaatom (Good Weather For An Airstrike), and features ambient synth tones, dreamy guitar pads, gentle organic soundscapes, as well as some field recordings from our respective hometowns of Winchester, UK and Ma Wan, Hong Kong...
It was a real pleasure to create this one, and I can't wait for you to hear it - it's out now wherever music is on.echoes.blue/fleeting-moments

Moments in Simulation is inspired by the interconnectedness of life on our planet, and the symbiotic relationship we have with unseen, artificial realms. Juxtaposing breath-like sounds, subtle vocals, and organic instruments with glitchy, electronic soundscapes, the track establishes the thematic tone and musical style for the Worlds: Connected as a whole.
Hope you enjoy it - there's much more to come from this project over the coming months!

Taking a quick break from my Worlds: Apart album to release a lovely project I've been working on with my good friend Kirk (We Dream of Eden). Inspired by the searching, seeking feeling that comes with changes in life circumstances, this reflective and subtly uplifting first (double) single also includes a collaboration with the incredible Dear Gravity.

Farewell, Home is inspired by the shifting sands of time and the people we lose along the way. Gentle beats, repeated piano phrases and evocative synth melodies provide the undercurrent to @AnitaTatlow's beautifully ethereal vocals, featuring lyrics that are yearning yet subtly hopeful.

The contrasting second track, I Can't Feel You Any More, is a haunting, atmospheric experience, featuring distant vocals underpinned by a slow, repeated synth sequence that gradually evolves, disappearing into the ether.

Hello, Worlds is inspired by a new life gazing into the world with innocence and hope. Featuring positive-sounding repeated synth and piano patterns run through various pedals and tapes, as well as singing bowls and handpan tones, the music nonetheless includes glitches and subtle inconsistencies that hint at an uncertain future.

Soundtracks for wandering souls
Antarctic Wastelands is the ambient music moniker of Hong Kong-based producer Ben Tatlow. Focusing primarily on environmental themes of beauty, desolation and the diverse nature in between, his music has been described as “frozen ambient soundscapes that are meant to get lost within” by Rural Sounds, while Tone Harvest write that “its sights seem to be inter-dimensional in nature.”
Alongside Antarctic Wastelands, Ben produces music as Salt of the Sound and Narrow Skies with his wife Anita, as well as running the indie ambient label Echoes Blue Music.
