We work to build community based capacity to address racism, the growing racialization of poverty and the resulting increased levels of deprivation, social exclusion and widespread marginalization of racialized individuals and communities across the province of Ontario - Canada.
The impact on racialized persons - First Peoples and people of colour - of the increasing "colour-coding" of all the major health, social and economic indicators - are dramatic and are resulting in rapidly growing disparities with respect to individual and collective life chances, opportunities and outcomes.
Colour of Poverty - Colour of Change and its membership - largely reflective of the affected racialized communities themselves - works to build shared action plans to address and redress this disturbing and growing institutional or structural disparity and systemic ethno-racial inequality.
