On my channel I posted mainly African music that was popular in the last decades of the previous century.
My focus is on music recorded on vinyl, that can hardly or not at all be found in shops or elsewhere. I look at reactions once per week about posted songs. They are often something like: my father used to play this song when I was a kid, brings back good memories.
A second category of music posted on lekkerdammer is live music recorded on cassette mainly in the nineties, digitized.
I earn no income with the songs posted on lek kerdammer. Making people happy with music that is no longer available and in shops, or runs the risk to be forgotten and lost forever, is my main goal.
However, sometimes there is a problem with author's rights. Recently I had 2 warnings about songs by Jonah Moyo & Devera Ngwena. If I get a 3d warning within before mid April 2023, my channel will be removed from Youtube. If that happens... it was a pleasure to make some of you happy.
