Liz Hogg is a guitarist and composer from Brooklyn, NY. Hogg has been described as possessing âenergy, expressive dynamics and phrasingâ (American Record Guide), âfantastic workâ (Classical Guitar Magazine) and âplaying with a more distinctive and original approach that includes quickly-strummed chords, chiming arpeggios, and rapid-fire pickingâ (Geoff Cabin). As a classical guitarist as well as performer of her original mostly electric guitar music, Hogg has toured thirteen countries playing numerous festivals & venues. She has won awards including the Mannes School of Music Deanâs Award, the Maurice Kagan Memorial Scholarship Award, and grants from Chamber Music America, the Peter M. Gross fund and Queens College.
