MICRA is a discriminatory law passed in California in 1975 that limits pain and suffering damages on medical negligence lawsuits, to $250,000. Because of this extremely low cap, victims are more often than not, incapable of getting a lawyer to accept their lawsuit and get to court to hold their harmers accountable.
