As the bass clarinet channel of hermetic Zen flute master @CorneliusBoots , we are going to be launching a series of live videos from the vault, videos featuring the one and only robot bass clarinet. This is not your grandpa's bass clarinet: it is an amplified electric augmented-mutated bass clarinet employed in a rock bass capacity, requiring a loud tube amp and much circular breathing. Until this moment, no one who was NOT at a live show of the band magnesium (1999-2002 Chicago; 2004-5 SF) has ever seen this band! These recordings are truly from the vaults (or at least from the stackable Rubbermaids in outdated, hard-to-transfer formats). I am still artistically enthused about everything we did in magnesium and our Bloomington predecessor Faun Tumnus -- never has a rock bass clarinetist had such excellent drummers and guitarists to shapeshift with. You guys are the best!
