Well on Saturday morning I arrived on the ferry at St Malo from Portsmouth. By Saturday afternoon I was at Bordeuaux and then on Sunday morning I set off for Barcelona! 700 miles over two days on my BMW XR 😊 I'm staying on the continent for another 12 days or so.... I'll hopefully film some great scenery and make a video for you folks after telling you about the trip and how me and the bike got along 😁

So it turns out that buying a Low Supension S1000XR leads to ground clearance issues at the track! I knew that this might happen, but it really looks like I'll need to buy a set of adjustable footrests...

Hi folks! For those who aren't impressed with the way BMW have combined the tail/brake lights and indicators on some of their recent bikes, a solution has come in the form of a device called the Weiser Wizard from Weiser Technik. I've made a little YT shorts video to show them in action (in conjunction with my Denali B6 rear light) and I also added some information and links in that videos description.

Arrgh so frustrating! I spent five hours editing & uploading a first impressions video today on my S1000XR, before travelling 150 miles from home I'm now and working away until Friday. I just checked the video before publishing and it's got loads of problems with the audio 😭 I don't want to release a rubbish-sounding video to the public so you'll get a fixed version next weekend!

I've got the little Honda Bros running properly again! Turns out I'd missed a rather obvious problem... one of the carburettors had popped off it's inlet pipe leading to the rear cylinder! The poor thing had been breathing in great lungful's of air. I hadn't ridden many miles like that luckily! Now that's sorted the engine feels as strong as it ever did, so I may have just gotten away with it :)
