Fiddler from Normandy, Benoît began the violin with classical music before discovering Irish music with Jean-Claude Philippe (Taxi Mauve, Mugar, Gwendal...). His university studies then allowed him to go and live the sessions in full immersion in Dundalk, Ireland.
Back in France, Benoît start to play with Camille Philippe in the duo Lost Spoon and also with the Round'Baleurs.
Settled in Brittany since 2008, he plays in the Breton music groups Hent then Majan, the Irish music formations Poppy Seeds, Kilkash, in ceili with the Roazhon Ceili Band. He also accompanies on stage and in the studio the singer and harpist Cécile Corbel.
2019 sees the creation of two new projects, the Ceili Killers (Irish music) and Bilzig (Breton music).
