The Unaccompanied Minors are the University of Waterloo's premier mixed-voice, a cappella group. The Minors consist of around 20 musically talented students who have been singing, beatboxing, and rocking out to everything from top 40 hits to rock classics since 2009. Focusing on blend, musicality, and performance, the Minors have been spreading the aca-love wherever they go.
From the Kitchener-Waterloo Area at campus events like TEDxUW, to the United States to compete at the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella, the Minors have blown away audiences with their outstanding arrangements and enthusiasm.
In 2021, the Unaccompanied Minors placed 3rd at the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA) Central Semifinal! They also won the Grand Prize at the 2021 Sing! Toronto Collegiate A Cappella Competition.
