To share the original recordings of the early to late 1920's, collecting since 1959. I like to showcase these discs while playing on the kinds of phonographs they would have been played on 80-90 years ago, using medium tone needles. My machines consist of a 1928 Victrola 8-30 (Credenza), 1928 Victrola 8-9, 1928 Victrola Radiola 7-11, 1919 Victrola No. 10 in our family since 1920, 1923 Victrola 215 in our family since 1923, 1927 Brunswick Panatrope Seville, 1927 Brunswick Panatrope Cortez, early 1920's Bush & Lane Duo-Vox console, 1956 Zenith Cobra-Matic console, 1953 Zenith Cobra-Matic portable, 1953 Zenith Cobra-Matic tabletop, 1958 Zenith Cobra-Matic High-Fidelity portable and 1964 Fisher Futura V stereo console in solid cherry wood. The machines are in both bedrooms, den, dining and living rooms. The recordings are made using a base (non-HD) Flip camera mounted in most cases on a tripod, with no other amplification.
