Christian Elin is a saxophonist/bassclarinetist/composer based in Augsburg/Germany, working as a freelance musician both nationwide and abroad. He is member of the Duo Elin Sakas and the ensemble GAMBELIN and works with leading ensembles such as Ensemble Modern and the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. Christian studied at the Conservatoire Basel, the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich and the Ali Akbar College of Music/Basel.
He published four CDs under his own name: "streaming", "back to yourself", "some kind of blues" and "Mittsommernacht"(raccanto). His own compositions are Crossover in the best sense of the word - important inspirations are elements of Minimal Music, Jazz, Film Music and classical Avantgarde.
Christian received many awards and scholarships for his artistic work such as the 2013 Bavarian Arts and Literary Prize for Music and as a member of the "Yehudi Menuhin Foundation".
