Jonathan Van Risseghem (VanRiss) is a singer-songwriter from Tulsa, Oklahoma. In 2009 he independently released The Motions using his last name "Van Risseghem". The album received immediate acclaim with features in television programs such as The Voice, Tosh.0, and The Hills with advertising features for Samsung, Encore, and Kashi.
Under the same moniker, VanRiss released his follow-up album, Passenger in 2011 with feature-track The River written for Brita Water's Filter for Good Canada advertisement. During this period VanRiss was invited to perform for the NCAA Honors Ceremony and invited to tour Germany by platinum recording artist, Revolverheld.
VanRiss released Every Streetlight & Every Turn in the autumn of 2015. Recording the tracks inside an abandoned grocery store, the songs focus on pop foundations arranged with warm, intimate soundscapes. The opening track, Good Times was featured on the Feels Like Home compilation with Grammy winners A Great Big World.
