Welcome to Fly Fish the Mitt. We're a group of guys located in Michigan chasing trout, steelhead, carp, bass and musky with a fly rod. We use a variety of techniques like streamers and dry fly fishing for trout, swinging, indicator and chuck and duck for steelhead, popper and streamers for bass and musky...whatever is working at a given time and season.

One great thing about this state is the variety of species we have and the changing seasons. If you start getting bored or burned out on chasing a specific fish the season is probably about to change and you're on to something else. Winter steelhead, spring trout on streamers and dries, early summer carp on the flats, summer bass and musky, fall swinging for steelhead, fall streamer fishing for trout and steelhead....repeat.
