It was way back in 2018 - during our audio-only days, well before the woke nonsense was hardly on anyone's radar. Our show was the first Muslim platform to highlight the dangers of Critical Race Theory and the scary reality it eventually brought upon our children today.
We lost many listeners who had already been inoculated with the ideology in universities and college campuses in western societies but we held on no matter the cost and made no apologies.
Many of those same Muslim activists have now seen the result of what they were fighting for. Not unlike the hippies of the '60s, despondent and dejected they've relegated themselves to a life of servitude in a cubicle helping their multi-national corporations maximize profits and generate revenue off the backs of child laborers in Africa.
The pure call to Islam is the only cause no one ever regretted fighting for. It's rarely in vogue nor will it ever win you any favors in social circles. Everything else is simply a kaleidoscope of various shades and patterns of darkness collapsing upon themselves just waiting to decay.

The Mad Mamluks Podcast regrets to announce the breakdown of negotiations with Akif Rehman and the Islamic Foundation School (IFS) surrounding our podcast episodes related to the Islamic Foundation School of Villa Park and its hiring of a Christian missionary. Despite our sincere efforts to engage in a constructive dialogue with the school board members, the situation has taken an unfortunate turn.
Initially, we had agreed to the request by the Islamic Foundation School to remove certain podcast episodes that were related to the school and in turn the School Board members would talk to us and listen to the allegations against them. The intention behind this was to maintain harmony and address concerns raised by the school community. However, over time, the negotiations became increasingly complex.
We were surprised when Akif Rehman, an IFS School board member, altered the nature of his demands, indicating a preference to deal solely with Shaykh Amir, one of the co-hosts of The Mad Mamluks. This change in approach presented challenges as we believe in addressing issues transparently and inclusively.
Furthermore, it came to our attention that Akif Rehman attempted to exert pressure on the Mosque where Shaykh Amir is employed at, in an effort to enforce his demands. Such actions are deeply concerning and against the principles of open dialogue and understanding.
Despite our willingness to engage in a productive conversation and our continued commitment to fostering a respectful environment, we have observed that IFS board members Akif Rahman and Zafar Farooq chose not to actively listen to the concerns of community members. Instead, they employed manipulative strategies that appear to be based on coercion, utilizing mutual connections to exert influence.
The Mad Mamluks firmly believes in accountability, responsibility, and addressing community concerns. We maintain that open conversations and collective solutions are the way forward to ensure mutual respect among Muslims.
Moving forward, we have reinstated the episodes related to Islamic Foundation School in Villa Park. We remain committed to our mission of promoting healthy discussions within the Muslim community and beyond.
May Allah (swt) give us the patience, strength and courage to hold on, and stay firm against every injustice. May he (swt) alleviate the struggles of our fellow Muslims who are forced daily to work alongside some of the most deceptive and abusive community members. May he (swt) make us all vanguards of truth and justice everywhere. Ameen.
