ImagineFX Art Challenge 7 starts today!
After tallying up the votes across all our social media platforms, the theme that has been chosen is Elemental Fairies!
We would like you to paint or draw four fairies inspired by the classical elementsāEarth, Air, Fire, and Water. For example: Earth fairies with mossy, leafy wings and flower crowns; Fire fairies with fiery orange and red colours and ember-dusted wings; Water fairies with flowing, liquid-like patterns and shimmering scales; and Air fairies with translucent, wispy wings and light, flowing clothes.
If you don't have time to draw all four fairy elements, simply choose one element as the basis for your artwork.
How to enter: To submit your entry, simply hashtag your artwork with #IFXfairies and tag our account on Cara, Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter or Threads by November 25, 2024,11:59pm (GMT + 0:00).
AI will not be allowed in our Art Challenge and should not be used at any stage of the artwork process. You will need to provide three process images so that when we contact those being featured in the magazine, we can verify that AI has not been used. Artists that have used AI will not be picked to feature in the magazine.
A selection of artworks will be chosen from the entries to be featured in the magazine. But remember, there are no winners or losers in this Challenge ā itās all about participation and enjoying the creative journey!

It's time to pick the theme for ImagineFX Art Challenge 7!
The options are...
Random Shape Transformation
Start with a random abstract shape or scribble, and then turn it into something recognizable, like a creature, character, or environment.
Sci-fi Veggies
A futuristic or alien race of vegetable-inspired characters, for example, an astronaut "Space Pea" squad, broccoli cyborgs with enhanced strength, or high-tech "Radish Recon" robots.
Tiny World
Design a tiny, self-contained world inside an object (like a world inside a glass bottle, a snow globe, or a teacup). These little worlds can be whimsical and allow for intricate detailing in a small space.
Elemental Fairies
Design fairies inspired by the four classical elementsāEarth, Air, Fire, and Water.
You can vote by mentioning your chosen theme in the comments. We'll announce the winning theme after the polls have closed, along with a guide and the rules to enter.

Last year, we created our first-ever issue dedicated to sketchbooks (which you can still buy as a digital edition). The whole issue was full of breathtaking doodles and sketches from start to finish, and proved so popular that it's back next week!
Issue 246 will be jam packed with over 300 sketches and feature 27 artists from around the world. The new issue will go on sale in the UK on 22 October, before hitting shelves in the rest of the world three to four weeks later.
You can also purchase print and digital editions on release day via the shop in our bio link. This special edition is a regular issue of ImagineFX, so our subscribers will receive their issue through the post as normal.
More info will be revealed on the day, so stay tuned!
