The Montgomery Symphony Orchestra is excited to announce its ninth Youth Concerto Competition! The competition is open to all students on all orchestral instruments (excluding piano) in grades 6-12 who reside in the following counties: Maryland (Anne Arundel, Howard, Montgomery, Prince George’s), Virginia (Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax, Falls Church, Loudoun), District of Columbia.
Winners will receive a $100 scholarship and will have the opportunity to perform their concerto with the MSO on June 8, 2025 at Sligo Seventh-Day Church in Takoma Park, MD. All submissions must be pieces with orchestral accompaniment available to rent or purchase. Please visit msomd.org/2025-youth-concerto-competition/ for complete rules and details.
